Washington Wines with Tracy Leighton
December 18th, 20086:30pm to 8:30pmTasting Fee $20.00/$15.00 Wine Club Members Okay, so there are some things I am incredibly shy about and then there are some things I’m not and my love for Washington wines, especially the reds, is one of my passions in the world of wine!
Move over California, Washington Reds are about to blow you out of the water! Check out what Jay Miller has to say about Washington Reds in Business Week.Click Here!
Tracy, whom I’m sure you may remember me making reference to before is a patisserie chef at Nibblers Eatery in Pleasant Hill (one of my favorite places to eat and drink wine, when I’m not working). However, she is also the east bay territory rep for the very exclusive and prestigious wine distributor Chambers and Chambers. She will be joining us this evening to share with you some of the wonderful Washington wines from their portfolio to include Andrew Will and Woodward Canyon. The following are just a few of the wines, which will be featured on the tasting menu: Woodward Canyon 2006 Chardonnay
Nelms Road 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
Woodward Canyon, Artist Series #14 Cabernet Sauvignon – 91 Points Wine Spectator
Andrew Will 2005 Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Red Mountain - 91 Points Stephen Tanzer
(This past year, we have carried many of this producers wines, which I’m sad to say we are sold out of. One of his wines, which we had earlier this year hit Wine Spectators Top 100 List)
There will be a few other surprises too! You know me ☺
